Our first port on the cruise was St. Thomas. There is nothing like getting up on a cruise ship and looking outside to see what beautiful place you have stopped in while you were sleeping. St. Thomas was no exception!
We tried to do as much as we could without booking excursions at every port through Carnival. We would get our ideas through the excursion pamphlets but then attempt to do it on our own, for half the cost. We docked in St. Tomas but we decided we would take a cab ride and a short ferry ride over to the island of St. John to go snorkeling at Trunk Bay.
These photos do not do it justice, but I can honestly say that this is one of the most beautiful places I have ever been in my life! Around every turn there is an outlook like this, amazing.
This is Trunk Bay where we stayed for the day, lounging on the beach, and snorkeling in the reef.
We attempted to get some pictures with our disposable underwater camera, better than nothing :)
It was sooo nice to have nothing to do but relax on the beach. We had no children to be responsible for, just the two us and the ocean :)
A stingray came to visit.

MY HEAVEN ON EARTH!
