We boarded the ship and settled into our cabin. We were walking around learning the layout of the ship when we ended up in the Casino. The Casino is not allowed to operate until you are in the open seas but we saw an arcade-style game that was on. It had a couple iPads and bundles of money hanging up in front of some keyholes. You had to maneuver a key directly in front of the keyhole to unlock your prize. I wish I would have taken a picture of the game. We put a few dollars in and didn't have any luck. We left and continued to walk around. On our way back I decided to put one more dollar in and I WON! I couldn't believe it, I happened to get the BEST prize in the machine, a new iPad with $500.00 taped to the box!
I was so excited we were screaming and jumping up and down. Right after I won we had to go do our Emergency Drill that everyone on board is required to do. I had to take the box with me and all of the crew members couldn't believe that I had won. They said no one had won an iPad on there in over a week and there is constantly a line of people waiting to play. It was a great start to the cruise :) The kept promoting the game over the P.A. system during the entire cruise saying, someone won an iPad and $500.00 with one dollar, we smiled everytime!
